Interesting Facts
Chateau Haut-Bages Liberal is the main wine of the estate of the same name, which is born from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on clay, gravel and limestone soils. The harvest is hand-picked from 35-year-old vines. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for 18-24 days. The wine is aged for 16 months in oak barrels, 40% of which are new.
