Interesting Facts
Chateau Giscours is the main wine of the estate of the same name. The age of the vines is on average 35 years. The soil of the vineyards is sand and gravel, through which the roots penetrate deep into the ground. In the production of wine, manual harvesting and careful selection of grapes are used. Wine fermentation occurs in stainless steel and concrete vats at a temperature of 28-30 ° C for 18-24 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is poured into oak barrels, half of which are new, for aging. The wine is aged for 18 months.
