Interesting Facts

The 49 hectare vineyards are located on a small hill descending towards the Gironde, between the vineyards of Château Latour to the north and Château Bechvelle to the south. The soil here is a deep layer of gravel interspersed with large rounded pebbles. The average age of the vines is 40 years. The planting density is 10 thousand vines per hectare. The grapes are harvested manually, then completely de-stemmed, fermented in steel tanks using remontage and malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 18 months in French barriques, more than 50% of which are new.
