Blended Whisky Shinsei
Interesting Facts
SHINSEI was born in the beautiful city of Fuefuki, located in the center of Yamanashi Prefecture, about 2 hours west of Tokyo. Yamanashi Prefecture is mostly forested and part of the Japanese Alps with the country's highest mountains including the famous Mount Fuji. A perfect and endless bountiful environment with extremely clean air, crystal clear water and high altitude creates ideal conditions for the production of whiskey and gives it a unique soft and floral style. Here at altitude, the boiling point is lower, which makes it easier to separate the alcohol from unwanted elements and gives SHINSEI a silky texture framed by mineral spring water. Aging in Japanese oak barrels for at least 3 years makes SHINSEI an incredibly refined drink with oaky, spicy and fruity undertones.
