Interesting Facts
Chateau Lagrange is a magnificent wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot grapes, hand-picked from the vineyards of Saint-Julien. The vines are grown on gravelly soils resting on a clay-calcareous subsoil, with some sand and clay. The vineyards, which range in age from 20 to 55 years, have a southern exposure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks for 2-3 weeks. After fermentation, the wine is aged for 20 months in oak barriques (60% new).
