Interesting Facts
Cave de Tain, "Grand Classique" Saint-Joseph AOP - dry red wine with incredible power and sophistication. Syrah grapes grown and harvested in the Saint-Joseph region are used for its production. The vineyard soils are rich in granite blotches. Harvesting begins only after strictly controlling the level of maturity of the berries, then it is transported to the winery, where it is pressed. The cold pre-maceration process takes several days. Further, the wort is subjected to alcoholic fermentation and aging. Extract of wine takes place partly in steel vats, to maintain the purity of aroma and freshness of fruit notes in taste, partly in French oak barrels, which brings more clarity to the structure of the wine.
