Lorgeril
The Maison Lorgeril family business is from the South of France, from the area between the Rhone Valley and the Pyrenees. The heart of the company is the Château de Pennottier, built in 1620, 6 km from the fortress of Carcassonne. In 1710, the wines of Château Pennottier were served at the table of the king's officers in Versailles. The castle was passed down from generation to generation, and since 1987 it has been owned by the 10th generation of winemakers, direct heirs of Pennottier - Nicolas and Miren de Lorgeril, who began to expand their business beyond the castle. Passionate about winemaking, they acquired the best terroirs in the Languedoc and Roussillon regions (with chalky soils, brown and black shale, gneiss and sandstone soils) at an altitude of 200 to 400 meters above sea level. Since 2007, they have been collaborating with one of the world's best winemakers, Patrick Leon.
