Azienda Agricola Il Palagio

The history of the Il Palaggio estate begins in the 1960s, when Dario Piccini acquired the land and began working on wine production. The family's history begins on a piece of land in the picturesque Conca d'Oro, the "golden valley" of Panzano in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico. They express the values and experience of their ancestors in the third generation, to ensure a secure future for the winery. Today, the winery is managed by Mona, granddaughter of Dario Piccini and her husband Franco Guarducci, the property has expanded to 12 hectares, the wines are produced under the guidance of oenologist Marco Cellini and remain appreciated and sought after.

"We respect and protect the land that our ancestors entrusted to us. For this reason, we practice sustainable farming and organic fertilization, paying particular attention to preserving the structure and fertility of our soils. Our vineyards are like our second home: we know every stone and every plant, and we are personally involved in every stage of winemaking: from hand pruning to hand harvesting, shaping the precise selection of grapes to the vinification and bottling process. Our goal is to produce wines that reflect the territorial uniqueness of our plot of land and the character of the people who grow it. We are convinced that we can only do this if we remain a small family farm."
