Greenall's

Founded in 1761 by Thomas Dakin, the forefather of English gin and our original master distiller, our award winning gin has been at the forefront of British gin for gin lovers through the centuries.

Established in 1761, Greenall’s is the First and Original London Dry Gin. Expertly handcrafted by England’s oldest gin distillery, G&J Distillers in Warrington, Greenall’s has celebrated a rich heritage of craftsmanship, quality and the ‘Great British Spirit’ for over 250 years.

The Original recipe was created by Thomas Dakin, the forefather of English gin, and remains unchanged, only ever known by seven Master Distillers over 250 years. Joanne Moore, Greenall’s 7th Master Distiller is the current recipe’s guardian and one of the world’s first and finest female gin masters.

Each batch of award winning Greenall’s gin is expertly handcrafted with 100% British wheat yielding a silky, smooth spirit with juniper-led taste infused with fresh citrus notes. Its eight botanicals are handpicked and sourced from across the world and include wild Tuscan juniper berries, delicate Moroccan coriander and zesty Spanish lemon peel. Only the finest botanicals are used to create Greenall’s London Dry Gin.

Joanne Moore has also created three new expressions to join Greenall’s The Original London Dry Gin; Greenall’s Wild Berry, Greenall’s Sloe Gin and Greenall’s Extra Reserve.

In 2017, Greenall’s proudly marked a new era in its history introducing a new bottle design to celebrate the rich heritage, craftsmanship and quality of the gin. Inspired by the shape of original gin bottles from the 1700’s, the bottle features premium embossing of the spirit’s birth date -1761- along with the Greenall’s crest, Edward Greenall’s signature and a print of a hand-stitched Union Jack.

Greenall’s London Dry Gin is one of the most awarded gins including- Fifty Best Gins 2015, World Gin Awards Gold Award 2015, San Francisco World Spirits Competition Bronze & Silver Awards 2015, International Wine & Spirits Challenge 2014.

One of the fastest growing gins in the world, served in over 140 countries, Greenall’s is best enjoyed with a wedge of lime and premium tonic water for a classic gin and tonic or in a refreshing gin based cocktail such as the Basil Smash & The Flora Dora.
