Bosman
The Bosman family has been growing grapes in Wellington since 1798 for 8 generations.
Today, Bosman is South Africa's largest grape producer, with their nursery, Lelienfontein Vinegrowers, growing over 7 million vines annually. For the last 50 years, the Bosman family has been engaged only in the cultivation of grapes, but in 2004 they returned to commercial winemaking. The changes are associated with the arrival of a new owner, a representative of the eighth generation of the family, Petrus Bosman, who was trained in winemaking in the cellars of Sonoma, in the USA, to manage the family business.
Petrus, together with the talented winemaker Corleia Fourier, creates wines of excellent quality. The estate's wines are made according to the principle "from the vineyard to the wine." They are characterized by richness, elegance and complexity combined with superb fruity aromas.
