Gitton Pere&Fils

The Gitton family has been in the wine business since the end of World War II. The founder, Marcel Gitton, initially owned less than an acre of vineyards. Today, the company, run by Pascal Gitton and his wife Denise, is considered one of the leading wine producers in the Sancerre appellation, with several vineyards located in different areas and on different soils. Much of the best soil in the Loire Valley is planted with thirty-year-old vines of Sauvignon Blanc, considered the region’s most elite and most suitable for producing the white wine of the same name.
