Chateau Prieure-Lichine

The origins of the Chateau Prieure-Lichine date back to the sixteenth century, when monks from the Benedictine abbey of Vertheuil created the Prieure vineyard. At first, the focus was on cultivating varieties rather than producing wine. In 1951, these lands were acquired by the author of the famous "World Encyclopedia of Wine" Alexis Lishin. Until 1999, the Chateau belonged to his son. The next owners were the Ballande family, who invited the world-famous oenologist Michel Rolland to work on it.
