Scacciadiavoli
The Scacciadiavoli estate, located in the Umbrian hills that branch off between Foligno and Todi along the Sagrantino route, has always combined a love for the land with the production of high-quality wines. It currently includes 130 hectares of land, of which 40 are planted with vineyards, in the landscape of the municipalities of Montefalco DOC and DOCG and Spoleto DOC.
The most cultivated grape varieties are Sagrantino and Sangiovese, as well as Grechetto and Trebbiano Spoletino. The winery, located in Montefalco, produces about 270,000 bottles per year,
which are mainly sold in Italy (65%) and has a good share of exports (35%).
Since 2000, the Scacciadiavoli estate has been completely modernized, while maintaining the original nineteenth-century elements. Since 2023 it has been in transition to biodynamic winemaking.
