Domaine Basse Ville

Domaine Basse-Ville is located in La Chapelle-Hélène, in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvres et Maine appellation, 18 km southeast of Nantes. Situated at the foot of the Armorican massif, the domaine has a series of schist terroirs that give the local Muscadet a remarkable minerality. The Bossard family is very attached to this land and has been growing grapes in succession from father to son since the 16th century. Domaine Basse-Ville was created by Michel and Gilbert Bossard in 1971. Jean-Louis Bossard has been working at Domaine Basse-Ville since 2001 and has managed it since 2007.
