Vidigal Wines
Vidigal Wines is a small family winery located in the center of Portugal, near the city of Leiria. The origins of the company date back to the 20th century. During its existence, the company changed several owners, and in the early 90s, the winery was headed by Antonio Mendes Lopes. Currently, 60% of Vidigal Wines belongs to Antonio Lopes and 40% to the Norwegian Investment Company. During his leadership, Antonio introduced a number of improvements and technical innovations, thanks to which today the winery produces more than 3 million bottles per year, importing its wines to more than 30 countries around the world. Antonio Lopes has more than 30 years of experience as a winemaker and is actively involved in the winemaking process together with his two main winemakers: Antonio Ventura and Rafael Nupart. In 2006, Antonio Ventura was recognized as "Winemaker of the Year" in Portugal.
