Les Grands Chais de France was founded by Joseph Helfrich in 1979 in Petersbach, Alsace. The company's headquarters are still located there. Today, the group of companies owns its own brands: J.P. Chenet, Grand Sud, Calvet, Jelzin. As well as many vineyards in the regions of France (Alsace, Jura, Beaujolais, Rhone Valley, Languedoc, Bordeaux and Loire Valley) and in other countries of the world (Spain, Germany, Hungary, USA). The company is the leader among French wine exporters: 80% of the company's products are supplied to 173 countries.
