La Martiniquaise
La Martiniquaise is an international holding company established in 1934 in France. The company's founder, Jean-Pierre Caillard, started with the import and distribution of rum. In the mid-1950s, he was able to expand his company's product range by creating a number of alcoholic beverage production enterprises. By 2001, La Martiniquaise had become the second largest sales company in the French alcoholic beverage market. The company produces about 150 million bottles of alcoholic beverages annually. A quarter of these are exported to 110 countries.
