Elbuzd
The vineyards of the Donskoy winery Elbuzd are located 45 km from Rostov-on-Don in the Azov district of the Rostov region, near the village of Elbuzd and the river of the same name. This name has ancient roots and means "ice river". The vineyards and wine owe their name to this sonorous name. The goal of this enterprise was to create high-quality Russian wine that could become the pride of the country and compete with foreign analogues. Therefore, to achieve the best results, careful and complex preparatory work was carried out. European grape varieties are planted on fertile soils of 25 hectares. These are red varieties of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Noir and white varieties of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer from which high-quality Don wines are produced.
