Geil
Ökonomierat Geil is a historic family-run winery founded in 1871 in Bechtheim, located in the southeastern part of Rheinhessen. The estate lies among rolling hills with loess and clay soils – ideal conditions for producing structured, expressive Rieslings. The family was the first in the village to bottle their wines, and their economic influence earned them the honorary title “Ökonomierat” from the Grand Duke. Today, three generations work together to produce contemporary, dry-style wines that remain rooted in tradition and terroir. Their portfolio is led by Riesling and complemented by Weissburgunder, Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, and Chardonnay.
