Bordeaux Families
BDX Families (Bordeaux Families) is a French winegrowers' cooperative from the Bordeaux region, uniting approximately 300 winegrowing families. The company traces its history to 1934, when 126 winegrowers banded together to overcome the economic crisis and created a shared winery. Today, BDX Families manages approximately 5,000 hectares of vineyards and is the largest producer of Crémant de Bordeaux.
The vineyards are located between the Garonne and Dordogne rivers—in the heart of the Bordeaux terroir. The main grape varieties include Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and Muscadelle for white wines, and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for red wines. The company combines traditional winemaking methods with modern technology, placing particular emphasis on quality and sustainability. A significant portion of the vineyards have already been converted to organic farming, and an active environmental policy is in place.
