Domaine des Enfants
The farm was founded in 2006 by spouses Marcel Bühler and Carrie Sumner. She is an ex-sommelier from New York, he is a former Swiss banker who always dreamed of becoming a gardener.
The domaine owns 25 hectares of vineyards, mostly with old vines of Carignano, Grenache, Syrah and Ledoner Pelew, planted on different soils (schist, granite, gneiss and limestone) and at different altitudes, in the area around the small village of Maury. The winery has been certified organic since 2010.
The name of the local wines, as well as the name of the farm, are connected by a common “children’s” theme - “Le Jouet” means “toy” in French.
