Domaine Ventoura

Domaine Ventoura is a small family farm with 11 hectares of land in the PetitChablis, Chablis and Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume zones. The farm is based in Fontenay pres Chablis. Past generations of the family have been caring for vineyards without even dreaming of bottling their wines for commercial purposes. It all started with the grandfather of Auguste, an ordinary farmer from the village of Chablis, who owned four sheep, two cows, several acres of barley fields and a small plot of land on which he planted a vine in 1953. His son Claude did his best to ensure that the Ventoura house achieved today's results, expanding the family holdings to 11 hectares. After 25 years of selling the entire crop to a local cooperative, he decided to produce his own wines, expressing the characteristics of the local terroir.
