Ferghettina

The Ferghettina winery was founded in the 90s by the Gati family.
The head of the family, Roberto Gati, used to work at other wineries in Franciacorta. In 1991, he bought 4 hectares of land in Erbusco and began producing Franciacorta from his own grapes.

Today, Roberto and his wife Andreina, together with their children Matteo and Laura, own 120 hectares of vineyards in 6 different municipalities and produce wines in the winery in Adro. The vineyards are located on clay-limestone soils.

The Fergettina Winery is one of the best in the region. It produces wines of incomparable aromatic complexity.
Harvesting at the winery is done by hand. All family members and close friends are involved in the process.

The winery has two press. An ancient Champagne Marmonier press and a modern pneumatic press, with the ability to keep the grapes cool, keeping them as fresh as possible.

Only the highest quality first pressing juice is used for production. The primary fermentation takes place in temperature controlled steel vats, which is so important for keeping the wines fresh.
Secondary fermentation of premium wines of the estate takes place in bottles with flat walls, which allows increasing the area of contact between wine and yeast. This technology elevates Ferghettina's Franciacorta to the level of the best Champagne wines.
