Chateau Bellevue

Since 1930, Château Bellevue has been owned by two families - Conink and Pradel de Lavaux. In 2007, half of the property was bought by the owner of Château L'Angelus - Maurice de Bouard Laforest, who was happy to receive a share in the neighboring winery, which had all the advantages of his estate - similar soils and weather conditions. A complete renovation of the chateau, its cellars and wine production technology is taking place. In addition to the renovation of the winery, the label and bottles in which the wine is poured have also changed.
The vineyard overlooks the valley and occupies a plateau and is located on a hill at an altitude of 75 meters above sea level, it is oriented to the south and southwest. The soil is rich in magnesium and iron, at the top of the hill there is limestone of marine origin. The soil is also clayey, more siliceous and acidic inside.

The history of the vineyard is also reflected in the fact that on its territory you can find traces of ancient plantings that were made by Roman winemakers - these ancient ruins are under state protection. Since 2000, Château Bellevue has attracted experts who are called upon to give a new turn to winemaking on the estate - they are Nicolas Thienpont and Stéphane Derencourt. An average of 1,500 cases are produced per year. The second wine of Château Bellevue is La Caza Bellevue.
