Vinicola Decordi

The Decordi winery traces its history back to 1921, when the family owned a small café serving traditional Italian dishes and home-made wines. In those years, the Decordi estate produced large volumes of red wines based on Lambrusco, Fortana and Ancellotta varieties. The wines were so popular among visitors that the family council decided to take up winemaking seriously. Thus, in 1925, the foundation was laid for the future winery, which has existed for 80 years now. It was in the 1920s that the cultivation of vineyards began, and at the same time the first wine blends were created, which were sold both by the glass and in bottles. The Decordi winery was officially registered in 1937, and by 1950, the construction of a plant with an annual production volume of 3 million liters was completed. Most of the products at that time were sold in large-format bottles and demijohns. By 1964, production volumes had increased even more, and the winery's sales market had expanded to the neighboring provinces of Lombardy and Emilia-Romagna.

In the 1970s, Decordi introduced a new line of wines, produced specifically for the country's restaurant industry. High consumer demand provided the opportunity for technical upgrades and equipment modernization, and also helped the company reach a new level - in the 1980s, the company began exporting its wines to Europe and America, and in the 1990s - to Japan.

Since 2005, Vinicola Decordi has been headed by a representative of the fourth generation of the family - Alessandro Decordi, whose efforts are aimed at both developing production and further conquering the world market.
Wines under the Decordi brand have been produced since 1921 and today unite products from 9 different regions of Italy.
