Cognac Ferrand
The Cognac Ferrand company, today well known for its high-quality products on the world market, was created relatively recently as a result of a partnership agreement between businessmen Alexandre Gabriel, Jean-Dominique Andre and Pierre Ferrand, a hereditary winegrower and cognac producer. The Ferrand family has been producing this noble drink since the beginning of the 18th century, and over such a long time, a large number of first-class cognac spirits have accumulated in its cellars, which could not be sold. Thanks to the entrepreneurial talent of Gabriel and Andre, the company managed to establish the sale of cognac and promote the Pierre Ferrand brand on the international market.
The company closely cooperates with several distilleries located on the Caribbean islands, selling them cognac barrels. Once, during a business trip, Alexandre Gabriel tried several samples of rum aged in barrels and intended for private use. He was pleasantly surprised by the richness of the aroma and taste of this drink. This resulted in the idea of buying and bottling rare types of rum.
