Interesting Facts
From 2 hectares of 30 year old vines planted to chalky-clay soils (Baga) and sandy soils (Maria Gomes). The grapes are hand-harvested in early September, undergoes vineyard sorting and de-stemming. The Maria Gomes spends five days macerating and joined with Baga done in a ‘blanc de noir’ style. Spontaneous fermentation lasts two weeks and takes place in stainless steel with ambient yeasts and without temperature control. Aged in French oak (650L) for six months. Not fined or filtered.
