The wine is dark purple in color.
Taste:
The wine has a rich, balanced taste with refined tannins, fresh acidity, impressively clean fruit and berry tones and an incredibly long aftertaste.
Aroma:
The aroma of the wine is filled with tones of blackcurrant and blackberry, mixed with shades of graphite, violet, iris, spring flowers, vanilla, sage and tobacco.
Gastronomy:
The wine goes well with red meat (roasted or grilled), game, roast pork with prunes, and cheeses.
Interesting Facts
The average age of the vines is 32 years. The hand-picked grapes are fermented in small conical wooden and stainless steel vats for 30 days at a controlled temperature of 28-30 °C. The wine is aged on fine lees in French oak barrels, 70% of which are new, for 20 months.
