Interesting Facts
Petit Syrah (or durif in other words) is an artificially bred hybrid of two other varieties - Shiraz and Pelursen - obtained by the French botanist Francois Durif. Petit Syrah gives birth to bright, juicy, deep wines with a rich taste. The grapes were harvested in the Riverland region of South Australia. 25% of the wine was fermented in oak. Also, the final blend includes 10% of the Shiraz variety, which only emphasizes the many berry and spicy nuances of its descendant.
