Interesting Facts
When creating Rocking Horse, the estate had one primary goal: to create a blended white wine from Cape Town distinguished by depth, texture, and finesse. Both established and newly planted vineyards in Paardeberg, Swartland, and Wrochester were specifically selected for this purpose. Harvesting occurs slightly earlier than usual. The grapes are whole-bunch pressed. The entire fermentation process takes place in old oak barrels using exclusively wild yeasts. After malolactic fermentation, the wine spends some time in oak before bottling.
