Karamolegos

Artemis Karamolegos Winery was founded in 2003 in Exo Gonia, Santorini. The Artemis family cultivates grapes on the island and produces wine from their own grapes. The first cuvée, Piritis, was released in 2015, and in 2017 the estate introduced a line of single vineyard wines and orange wines. Artemis' philosophy is simple: great respect and love for the vineyard; long-standing, mutually respectful relationships with the region's winemakers; expressing the best qualities of the Assyrtiko variety; constant experimentation and innovation in the winery. The region's terroir is located on volcanic soils free of phylloxera. The average age of the vines is over 80 years. The Assyrtiko variety occupies about 75% of the plantings and is the main "star" of the estate.
