Delong
This family estate was founded in 1966 when Gerard Delong and his wife bought several plots of land. They planted their first vines and harvested their first grape harvest, which was given to the cooperative. With the desire to control all production and improve their wines, they purchased their first wine press in 1980, the year the first cuvées were released. In 2000, their daughter began managing the estate, and the house received its name: Champagne Delong Marlene.
Marlene formed a new system of work in the winery and vineyards, which allowed emphasizing the quality of the wines, rather than the quantity of grapes. The owners decided to optimize sustainable viticulture both in the vineyard and in the winemaking process, launching the transition to organic in 2020. Thanks to the use of natural yeasts, natural bacteria and aging in bottles on fine lees, each variety imparts different aromas, depth and maintains the individuality of each bottle.
