Feyles
The history of the winery dates back to 1964, when it was founded by Maria Failes and her son-in-law Antonio De Nicola, who first invested in the purchase of a plot of land in the village of Neive, the Montesommo vineyard, in the heart of the Barbaresco production area. Over the years, other plots were gradually added in several villages on the Langhe hills. Today, the company owns about 7 hectares of vineyards, mainly planted with Nebbiolo, but also with Barbera and Dolcetto, which allows it to produce about 40,000 bottles of wine per year.
Over the years, the company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to tradition both in the vineyard and in the winery, aiming to produce wines that are the true expression of the grapes and the terroir.
The wines are aged in medium-sized Slavonian oak barrels (50 hl), without the use of barriques, and the amount of human intervention in the vinification process is kept to a minimum so as not to interfere with the natural development of the wine. All the grapes come from the winery's own vineyards, located in Barbaresco, in the village of Monforte d'Alba, in the areas of Barbera d'Alba and Dolcetto d'Alba.
