Chateau Siran
The name "Siran" is mentioned in local chronicles dating back to 1428. In the early 19th century, Château Siran, then known as Saint-Cyran, was gifted to Jeanne, Countess de Toulouse-Lautrec, the great-grandmother of the famous artist. In 1848, the Château was acquired by the Miel family, whose ancestors, like many in Bordeaux, were of Irish descent. A great art connoisseur, Alain Miel, the current owner of Château Siran, frequently hosts exhibitions there, and since 1980, he has commissioned artists to create themed labels for the Château's wines.
