Craven is one of the most exciting wine projects in South Africa. It is part of the program to open the best vineyards in Stellenbosch, which is currently ongoing.
The key persons of the estate - Mick and Janine Craven - met in 2007 when they worked at the winery in Sonoma, during the harvest.
They decided to return to Jeanine's hometown of Stellenbosch in 2011 to bring their experience to life and found Craven Wines.
2014 was their first commercial crop. They quickly established themselves as Stellenbosch's revolutionaries and became key members of the Zoo Biscuits collective.
Local wines are made from grapes from selected vineyards, with the maximum expression of terroir. The wines are not filtered here, and only old oak barrels are used for aging.
