Ca' Rugate Winery
The Tessari family has been involved in winemaking in the Veneto region for over 500 years. In the 70s, Fulvio “Beo” Tessari, confident in the potential of his own vines, began to produce wine himself. It was a completely innovative and ambitious project for that period. Fulvio’s dream was supported by the following generations: his son Amedeo and his grandson Michele, who with the same passion did everything possible to achieve this goal.
The union of tradition and innovation gives life to the modern Ca’Rugate winery. At the beginning of the new century, the Tessari family business reaches the culmination of progress with the opening of a new headquarters. Winery, offices and wine museum on one site - a suitable location for the development of a company like Ca’Rugate. In an effort to be environmentally sustainable, the farm stopped using chemical fertilizers in 2000, replacing them with cow manure, organic composted soil, and plant-based organomineral fertilizers, and uses pest control products that are only permitted in organic farming.
