Interesting Facts

One of Italy's most outstanding wines, Ferragu's Amarone Riserva is long aged for 7 years! The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and placed in plastic boxes (called plotó), in which the berries wither for 80 days. After the grapes are pressed and the must with the skin is sent to stainless steel vats, where fermentation takes place. After fermentation, wine and skins are separated by soft pressing. Next, the wine is aged for 48 months in toasted barriques, after which it spends 12 months in the bottle. Wine has great potential in a few decades
