Interesting Facts
Wine from the Xinomavro variety is called the "Greek Barolo". The name of the variety is translated as sour (xino) and dark (mavro) due to the high acidity and dark color of the wine. The longest-lived wines of Greece are made from this variety, which can develop in a bottle for 25-30 years. Fundy Blanc de Noir is a white wine made from the red Xinomavro grape and the white Malvasia variety. After fermentation, the wine is aged on sediment in stainless steel. The potential of the wine is 3-4 years.
