Ottella
The Montresor family has run Ottella for four generations. At the end of the 19th century, the winery was described as the only producer of Veronese wines in Lugano.
Lodovico Montresor, together with Professor Michele Veschia from the University of Brescia and the engineer Turlini, drew and defined the boundaries of Lugana, where Ottella is a key producer in our time. As a result, three years later, in 1967, a protected designation of origin was created.
The winery received a new impetus when Francesco, who had just graduated from the Faculty of Law, began working with his father, and the following year the winery's wines reached the international level. In 1993, Francesco Montresor (President of the Consortium from 2007 to 2013) was joined by Michele, current President of the Veneto Viticultural Association.
The rapid growth of the winery led to the need to purchase a new site, as well as the construction of a new, improved cellar, which was done.
