Valery Zaharin
The history dates back to 1994, when winemaking became Valery Zakharyin's professional hobby. Working with autochthons and terroir is both a global trend and a return to the origins of viticulture. Aboriginal varieties embody the characteristics of the area, reflecting its inherent characteristics in wine. Today, the collection of autochthons includes 75 varieties. Work is underway to bring valuable varieties to industrial production. Attention is also paid to European grape varieties, the seedlings of which are grown in one of the best nurseries in France. Today, fruit-bearing grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Aligote, Muscat Ottonel, Merlot, Bastardo Magarachsky, Saperavi, Pinot Noir, Kefesia, Kokur, etc. form the basis of the lines produced under the brands Valery Zakharyin and Burliuk. Today the winery has 1,000 hectares of modern vineyards in Crimea, its own barrel park, which includes barrels made of French oak from such world-famous manufacturers as "Seguin Moreau" and "Radoux".
