Le Clos des Grives
Clos des Grives was created in 1962 by Gaston Charbonnier, a pioneer of organic viticulture. In 1968, Le Clos des Grives became the first domaine in Jura to receive the Nature et Progrès label, an association created in 1964. Claude Charbonnier took over the management of the vineyards after the death of his father in 1982 and continued to cultivate the vines with the utmost respect for the environment. In 2007, Claude sold his business to François Petitou. In 2011, the latter invested in a building that would house the aging tanks and outbuildings. And in April 2017, the estate was acquired by Benoît Meulen, his cousin Christophe, and several other shareholders. Clos des Grives owns more than four hectares of AOC Côtes du Jura. Five grape varieties are vinified in the cellar: white Chardonnay and Savagnin, red Pinot Noir, Poulsard and Trousseau. The grapes are always hand-picked.
