Bodegas Canopy

The Bodegas Canopy project was born in 2004, when two good friends who were studying together at the Faculty of Oenology at the University of Madrid decided to make their own dream come true. Alfonso Chacon (hotelier) and Belarmino Fernandez (restaurateur), two very different personalities, united for one goal - to produce quality wines from the Garnacha variety from the best plots of the region. They began to realize their dream of creating a fundamentally new wine by searching for special vineyards. Today, the Bodegas Canopy estate owns 19 hectares of high-mountain vines, located at an altitude of 750 meters above sea level with granite and flint soils. The vineyards have been carefully selected to perfectly match the profile of the intended wines. In addition to Garnacha, the estate produces small volumes of Syrah and Garnacha Blanca.
