The history of the Azienda Agricola COS wine company began in 1980, when three young people - Giambattista Cilia, Cirino Strano and Giusto Occhipinti - decided to continue the work of their ancestors and start making wine. In fact, the name of the company - COS - is an abbreviation of the first letters of the surnames of its founders (Cilia-Occhipinti-Strano).
The COS company follows the principles of biodynamic farming in order to maintain the balance of harmony between nature and wine, to express the depth of the character of the soils of the terroir. Today, COS is synonymous with the Cerasuolo area, strict adherence to tradition and excellent quality. COS wines are a kind of quality standard and an example of how, based on tradition and using the latest techniques, you can create your own style in winemaking. Since 2005, the company's vineyards in Sicily have received DOCG status.
