Interesting Facts
Blandy's, "Rainwater" Medium Dry - a white semi-dry madeira made from Tinta Negra Mole grapes, which grows in vineyards located at an altitude of 300-400 meters above sea level near San Vincent. After harvesting, the berries are fermented on the skin with natural yeast at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C in stainless steel tanks. After about 4 days, the fermentation stops for the wort to acquire the desired sweetness. Then the wine is transferred to tanks (estufa), where a cyclic heating and cooling process takes place for three months at a temperature of 45-50 ° C. Madeira is aged for three years in American oak barrels.
