Interesting Facts
"Les Vaucopins" is a Premier Cru site that is unique among Long-Depaquit's wide range of wines. This vineyard is located on the right bank of the Serein River, in the commune of Chishi, 3 kilometers east of Chablis. Its terroir bears a striking resemblance to the Grand Cru: southern exposure, steep slopes and a large amount of Kimmeridgian limestone. With noble origins and a warmer terroir micro-climate, this Premier Cru has impressive storage potential and special depth. After fermentation, part of the wine (15%) is aged in oak barrels, then further aging takes place in stainless steel vats (100%) for 10 months. The final aging in stainless steel vats lasts 2 months on the lees. Wine potential - 12-15 years.
