Sogevinus Fine Wines
The Sogevinus Fine Wines group of companies from the Douro region produces and sells high-quality ports and wines. Since 1998, the company has been owned by the Spanish bank Caixanova from Galicia, which first bought the Calem wine house. It then acquired the Burmester (2005), Kopke (2006) and Barros (2006) brands. Sogevinus brings together companies involved in the production of spirits in the Douro region. The group pays special attention to vineyards and the acquisition of high-quality raw materials. The company's vineyards are located in the hilly Meseta area, closed from the Atlantic Sea to the west by mountains, which provides it with unique climatic conditions. Today, Sogevinus Fine Wines offers one of the largest product ranges on the Portuguese alcohol market. The company's drinks have repeatedly been awarded gold, silver and bronze medals and high marks at international competitions and exhibitions.
