Interesting Facts

The production process of white port consists of a light maceration to extract colour and aroma, pressing the grapes without skins, followed by fermentation, which takes place very slowly, in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature (16 to 18° C) to ensure freshness and the right aromas. Fermentation is stopped by adding grape brandy. Port is obtained by blending wines from different vintages, with different levels of maturation in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels, with a minimum aging of 3 years.
