Petit & Bajan

Richard and Véronique Petit turned Petit & Bajan champagne into a gem. Together they cultivate the two great terroirs of Champagne: Avize and Verzenay, which are classified as Grand Cru. Thanks to the people they met, the tastings they had and their personal experiences, in late 2008 they decided to unlock the high potential of their terroirs and create their own wine with care, patience and care. Every little detail matters and that is why today you can discover the amazing Petit & Bajan champagne.

Richard Petit and Véronique Bajan met in 1992 and got married five years later. Before becoming the real successor to his parents' business, Richard Petit cultivated 11.18 acres of vineyards. The progressive growth of the vineyard and vines that Veronique introduced has allowed them to cultivate more than 3 hectares classified as Grand Cru since 2011. Although they didn't realize it yet, their project was beginning to take shape. Véronique and Richard met several people who would become their friends and make them think about the future.

On New Year's Eve, a tasting of different Avize champagnes showed Véronique and Richard that great wine can be created through the unique quality of their terroir. The process was very long. From meetings to detailed analyses, from steps back to long-term forecasts. By questioning their approach, moving forward, eliminating minor defects and obstacles, working with the vines with more and more delicacy and reverence, Véronique and Richard realized that the combination of many small nuances can make a huge difference. And first of all, they themselves should like their wine.

Champagne Petit & Bajan is Extra Brut Grands Crus, pure and delicate. Created from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes of the same year, the cuvées reflect the highest quality of the great terroirs of Avize and Verzenay.
