Cavino S.A.
Cavino Winery was founded by Constantinos Anastassiou in the mid-20th century in the town of Aigio, located in the northern Peloponnese. Initially, it was a winery, which was soon supplemented by a distillery and modern, temperature-controlled warehouses. Today, Cavino, being the national leader in the production and export of wines and the traditional Greek spirit Ouzo, produces more than 8.5 million bottles of wine and 6.5 million bottles of Ouzo per year. The total annual financial turnover reached 16 million Euros in 2010, and continues to grow steadily.
CAVINO has obtained ISO and IFS (International Food Standard) quality management certification. A new, modern, fully automated wine bottling line began operations in 2010. The line produces up to 7,000 bottles of wine per hour and sets a new quality standard, confirming the company's leading position in the Greek wine market. The state-of-the-art equipment, unique experience and professionalism of the CAVINO team allow it to look to the future with confidence, overcoming the challenges of modern times.
CAVINO was awarded the Best Greek Winery in 2009 by the International Wine and Spirits magazine, UK.
