Cantine Damilano

Damilano Wine Company is one of the oldest family wineries in Barolo with a historical tradition. The Damilano family business dates back to 1890, when Giuseppe Borgogno, the great-grandfather of the current owners of the winery, began to create his own wines. Giacomo Damilano, the son-in-law of the founder, together with his six children, nurtured their love for the vineyards. They carefully selected the land and vines, maintaining them to improve the quality of the wines. Over time, the winery has become a jewel that was proudly handed over in 1997 to Giacomo's grandchildren: Guido, Mario and Paolo Damilano. Guido Damilano is charged with the meticulous management of the winery, while Paolo and Mario Damilano are responsible for the commercial aspects. The winery is located on the border between the villages of Barolo and La Morra, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of the Langhe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Paolo, Mario and Guido Damilano, the fourth generation, have taken up the business with renewed vigor, consolidating and developing the potential of this extraordinary land. As proven by a long list of prestigious rankings, Damilano is the true expression of Piedmontese Nebbiolo wines, as well as a leading producer of wines in the Barolo appellation.
